What is Pharmacode?

Pharmacode, or Laetus Pharmacode, is a barcode the pharmaceutical industry uses to control packaging. It's printed on folding boxes, labels and leaflets, and packaging machines read it to make sure each part matches the medicine being packed. It encodes a single whole number from 3 to 131070 in narrow and wide bars, and it's made for these machines, not for checkout scanners.

Tool description

Enter a number from 3 to 131070 and the tool draws its pharmacode as you type. Change the bar and background colors, hide the number under the bars if you don't need it, and download the barcode as a PNG, JPG or WebP image.

Features

  • Single-track pharmacode - narrow and wide bars for any number from 3 to 131070
  • Custom colors - any color for the bars and the background
  • Image download - PNG, JPG or WebP

Tips

  • Two-track pharmacode, which encodes larger numbers in bars of different heights, isn't supported.
  • Check the printed code with the sensor of your packaging line before a production run.
