What are RGB channels?
Every pixel on a screen mixes red, green, and blue light, and each of the three is a channel of the image. Changing one channel on its own shifts the colors of the whole picture: less blue warms it up, more green gives a fresh or eerie look, and no red at all leaves a cyan image. It's the most direct way to fix a color cast or build a color effect by hand.
Tool description
Open an image and drag the Red, Green, and Blue sliders. Each one scales its channel by a percentage: +20% makes that color 20% stronger, and -100% removes it completely. The preview updates as you drag, and the compare button shows the original next to the edit. Download the full size result as PNG, JPG, or WebP.
Features
- A separate slider for the red, green, and blue channel
- Exact percentages, from removing a channel to doubling it
- Live preview with a before and after comparison, processed in your browser
How it works
Each slider multiplies every value of its channel by the same factor: 1.2 for +20%, 0.5 for -50%, and 0 for -100%. Values that would go past the maximum stay at full strength, so big boosts turn bright areas into flat color. Transparency isn't touched.
Tips
- To fix a color cast, lower the channel that is too strong instead of raising the other two. That keeps the highlights from clipping.
- Set a channel to -100% to see the image without it, which shows where that color sits in the picture.
- Lower all three channels by the same percentage to darken the image without changing its colors.
