This tool translates PDF documents with AI and gives you a translated PDF that looks like the original. Open a PDF, pick the language, and download the translated file. It is useful for flyers, brochures, manuals, letters, menus and short reports.

The PDF is read in your browser. The text on each page is grouped into paragraphs, and only this text is sent for translation. The pages are then drawn again in your browser: each paragraph is covered with its background color and the translation is written in the same place, in the same color and alignment, with the font size adjusted to fit. Images, drawings and colors stay as they were.

Features

  • Keeps the page size, layout, images and colors of the original.
  • Groups lines into paragraphs so sentences are translated as a whole, and joins words broken by hyphens at line ends.
  • Keeps the text color, alignment and serif or sans-serif style of each paragraph, and bold and italic when the PDF font says so.
  • Makes long translations smaller so they fit the original space.
  • Writes right to left for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu.
  • Supports all scripts, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cyrillic and Greek.
  • Shows the translated PDF in the browser's PDF viewer before you download it.

Tips

Up to 10,000 characters of text can be translated at once, which is about three to five pages of dense text. For longer documents, split the PDF into parts and translate each part.

The translated pages are saved as images, so the text in the new PDF cannot be selected or searched. Keep the original PDF if you need the text layer.

FAQ

Can I translate a scanned PDF? No. Scanned pages are images and have no text to translate. Make the PDF searchable with OCR first, then translate it.

Why is some text not translated? Rotated text, text in images and form fields are left as they are.

Is my file uploaded? No. The PDF is read and drawn in your browser, and only the extracted text is sent to the AI.
