What makes a good Instagram bio?

Instagram gives you 150 characters for your bio, so it has to say fast who you are and why someone should follow you. Good bios usually cover what you do, a bit of personality and, when it fits, a call to action such as pointing to the link. Line breaks and a few emojis make a bio easier to scan on a phone, while a wall of text gets skipped.

Tool description

Write a few words in About you or your brand: what you do, where you are, what you post. Pick a Tone (Friendly, Professional, Funny, Creative or Minimal) and click Generate bios.

Generated bios shows 5 options that differ in structure and wording, so you can pick one or mix parts of several. The AI is asked to keep each bio within 150 characters, counting spaces and emojis, to use line breaks and emojis where they help, and to add a call to action only when it fits. It doesn't invent links, handles or contact details that aren't in your text. Copy them all with one click.

Example

For "Travel photographer from Lisbon, coffee lover, sharing weekend trips and photo tips" with a Friendly tone, one of the options could look like this:

📷 Travel photographer from Lisbon
☕ Powered by coffee
✈️ Weekend trips and photo tips

Features

  • 5 different bio options per click
  • Five tones, from Friendly to Minimal
  • Bios aimed at Instagram's 150 character limit

Limitations

The 150 character limit is asked of the AI but not checked, so now and then an option runs long and needs a trim. Instagram will tell you if it doesn't fit.
