Disposable Email Checker MCP tool
Check whether an email address comes from a disposable, temporary email service, and whether its domain has mail servers.
Tool
disposable_email_checkerChecks whether an email address belongs to a disposable (temporary, throwaway) email service, using a copy of the disposable-email-domains blocklist the site downloads daily, and whether its domain accepts email, from its MX records queried through Google Public DNS. No mail is sent and no mail server is contacted. email is an email address or a bare domain; only the part after the last @ is checked, and it must be a domain name under a public top-level domain, not an IP address. A list entry also covers its subdomains, since some services hand out addresses on them. Returns domain (the domain that was checked, lowercased), disposable (whether the domain or a parent domain is on the list), listedAs (the entry that matched: the domain itself or its nearest listed parent; null when not disposable), mxRecords (the domain's MX records as "priority host", sorted by priority; empty when it has none or the lookup failed), acceptsMail (true when it has an MX record other than a null MX, or no MX records but an A record, which mail servers fall back to; false when the domain doesn't exist, has only a null MX ("0 .") or has neither; null when the lookup failed or took too long), listCount (the number of domains on the list) and listUpdatedAt (when the site last downloaded the list, ISO 8601); the last two are null when unknown. A domain that isn't on the list may still be disposable: new services appear all the time.
