Tool description

The Stardew Valley Crop Profit Calculator helps players maximize their farming profits by calculating the total revenue, costs, and profit for different crops throughout a season. The tool takes into account crop growth times, regrowth mechanics, soil quality bonuses, and the number of plots you're farming.

Features

  • Season-Based Crop Selection: Choose from crops available in Spring, Summer, or Fall
  • Soil Quality Bonuses: Calculate with Basic (0%), Quality (10%), or Deluxe (25%) fertilizer speed bonuses
  • Regrowth Mechanics: Automatically calculates multiple harvests for crops that regrow (berries, tomatoes, etc.)
  • Multiple Plots Support: Calculate profits for any number of farming plots
  • Comprehensive Metrics:
    • Total harvests possible in the season
    • Total revenue from all harvests
    • Total seed costs
    • Net profit for the season
    • Profit per day (to compare crop efficiency)
    • Profit per plot (for scaling calculations)

Use Cases

  • Optimal Crop Planning: Compare different crops to find the most profitable option for your farm
  • Season Preparation: Plan which crops to buy before the season starts
  • Fertilizer Investment: Determine if investing in quality fertilizer is worth the cost
  • Farm Scaling: Calculate how much profit you can expect when expanding your farm
  • Min-Maxing: Optimize your farming strategy for maximum gold per day

Crop Database

The calculator includes data for 27+ crops from Stardew Valley:

Spring Crops: Parsnip, Cauliflower, Potato, Kale, Strawberry, Green Bean, Garlic, Rhubarb

Summer Crops: Blueberry, Melon, Tomato, Hot Pepper, Wheat, Radish, Red Cabbage, Starfruit, Corn, Hops

Fall Crops: Pumpkin, Yam, Cranberries, Bok Choy, Grape, Artichoke, Amaranth, Eggplant

Multi-season crops like Wheat and Corn are available in their respective seasons.

How It Works

  1. Select Season: Choose which season you're planning for (Spring, Summer, or Fall)
  2. Choose Soil Quality: Select your fertilizer level - higher quality reduces growth time
  3. Pick a Crop: Select from the available crops for that season
  4. Set Plot Count: Enter how many plots you'll be planting
  5. View Results: The calculator shows detailed profitability metrics including total harvests, revenue, costs, and profits

The calculator automatically accounts for:

  • Initial growth time for the first harvest
  • Regrowth time for crops that produce multiple harvests
  • The 28-day season limit in Stardew Valley
  • Soil quality speed bonuses applied to both growth and regrowth times
