MeCard Format Details

MeCard uses a semicolon-separated format with the following fields:

  • N: Name (required)
  • SOUND: Reading/pronunciation of name (useful for Japanese names)
  • TEL: Phone number
  • TEL-AV: Video phone number
  • EMAIL: Email address
  • MEMO: Note or memo
  • BDAY: Birthday (YYYYMMDD format)
  • ADR: Address
  • URL: Website URL
  • NICKNAME: Nickname
