Calculation Method
The calculator uses a simple but accurate formula:
- Cost per cigarette = Price per pack ÷ Cigarettes per pack
- Daily cost = Cigarettes per day × Cost per cigarette
- Weekly cost = Daily cost × 7
- Monthly cost = Daily cost × 30.44 (average days per month)
- Yearly cost = Daily cost × 365
- Long-term costs = Yearly cost × number of years
