Neueste Version eines Docker-Images prüfen als MCP-Tool
Finde das neueste Versionstag eines Docker-Images auf Docker Hub, GitHub Container Registry oder Quay.io sowie dessen Push-Datum, Digest und Abrufbefehl.
Tool
docker_image_latest_version_checkerFinds the newest version tag of a public container image on Docker Hub, GitHub Container Registry (ghcr.io) or Quay.io, from the registry's API, without credentials. registry is required: docker-hub, ghcr or quay. image is an image name (nginx, bitnami/redis, ghcr.io/owner/name, quay.io/namespace/name), with or without a tag or digest (both ignored), or a link to the image's page on hub.docker.com, quay.io or github.com; a Docker Hub name without a namespace is an official image (library/nginx), and a name or link on another registry than registry is rejected. A version tag is only numbers joined by dots, with an optional v (1.27, 1.27.3, v3.15.1, 2026.10.1, up to four numbers): variants and pre-releases (1.27.3-alpine, 3.15.0-rc.1), moving tags (latest, stable) and date or build stamps aren't versions. On Docker Hub and Quay.io only the 100 most recently pushed tags are read; on GHCR every tag is read, and an image with too many tags to read in time fails. Returns registry, image (the name docker pull takes, such as nginx or ghcr.io/owner/name), latestVersion (the highest version tag, null when no tag read is a version), latestVersionUpdatedAt and latestVersionDigest (when that tag was last pushed, as an ISO 8601 time, and the digest it points to; null on GHCR, whose API gives neither), versions (up to 10 version tags, highest first, each with tag, updatedAt and digest) and tagsChecked (how many tags were read). Fails when the image doesn't exist or is private, when the registry's rate limit for this server is used up, or when the registry can't be reached, answers with an error or doesn't answer in time.
