What is a Travel Adapter?

A travel adapter (also called a plug adapter) allows you to plug your electronic devices into foreign power outlets. It's important to note that a travel adapter only changes the physical plug shape - it does NOT convert voltage. If your device doesn't support the local voltage (110-120V vs 220-240V), you'll also need a voltage converter.

Most modern electronics (phones, laptops, cameras) have built-in voltage converters and work with 100-240V, so they only need a plug adapter. Always check your device's power specifications before traveling.
